Birmingham Aquatic Club is an aquatic society for all types of fish keepers that are based in the Birmingham and West Midlands area. Founded in July 2019, the purpose of the club is to bring people together who all share the same fascinating hobby. Our events include a mixture of different things such as guest speakers, fish auctions, representatives showcasing products, free water testing, fish shows and raffles... just to name a few! The club strives to encourage responsible fishkeeping and give people a safe space where they can make new friends, further the hobby, share knowledge and share fish. Help and friendly advice is always available via our members and Facebook group so feel free to check it out and join. Everyone of all ages is welcome to attend our events and become a member if they wish to do so. We are all a friendly bunch of hobbyists and everyone will be greeted with a warm welcome.
By signing up for a membership, you will be supporting your local aquatic club with a few perks thrown into the process. Every member that signs up to the club will receive a personalised membership number, regular social events throughout the year, a regular annual newsletter, access to club AGM meetings, free goody bags at club events, link to our private WhatsApp group for members, access to the 'members only' section on this website which contains a lot of interesting features, discounted prices at club events and access to the fish keepers library scheme.
We are a not-for-profit organization run solely by volunteers. Everything we do is for the hobby and our committee members kindly give up their free time to keep the club running. Any money made from memberships and events are used in pursuing the club objectives. We try to encourage all of our members to show their support, get involved and attend as many events as they can. If you wish to sign up and become a member, you will be required to fill out a membership form and make a payment to the club of £10.00 which will be for 12 months membership. Payments can be made to the club via bank transfer or Paypal. Please note that all memberships will run from the 1st January until 31st December. You are able to sign up at any of our club events in person or you can fill out an online form below. We will try and acknowledge your membership request as soon as possible.
